2022 is the latest Census year in this release. Selected years only; no interpolation. Historical Figure 1 values are rounded to 0.1 million. Tables 1–2 counts are rounded to thousands. Foreign-born status is not unauthorized status. ACS and decennial Census methods differ; American Samoa classification changed before 2018.
Calendar-year and fiscal-year series must not be silently combined.
